THE GRAPES AND THE VINEYARD
Grechetto is an autochthonous from the territory
around Orvieto. Variety with remarkable
personality. A long research process, which has
taken several years of selections, has led us to the
identifi cation of clones with small berries and a
high sugar content in perfect balance with their
acid components.
The grapes, which are extremely meaty and rich
in extracts, were born in this particular territory,
proving one more time its historical and ideal
vocation for growing vines, as it has been able
to express such original varieties through the
centuries.
THE VINIFICATION
We let this grechetto criomacerate with the skins
to achieve stronger noble aromas and personality.
Then we ferment it in French oak barriques, where
it carries out the malolactic fermentation as well.
THE WINE
The wine has a bright straw yellow colour greenish
refl ections. The scents are extremely elegant,
with a rich aromatic range with fresh inklings
evolving toward agreeable hints of small fl owers.
It is quite full in the mouth, with extremely
pleasant fl avours, a distinctive style and a full
body like the best old Italian wine in
central Italy.
It should be drunk at a temperature of 10°C as
an accompaniment to fi sh. Yet, because of its
structure, it can go with meat hors-d’oeuvres and
delicate dishes with white meat.
